    SUPPOSITORY BASE

    A pure, edible vegetable fat extracted from the cocoa bean consisting of triglycerides derived from palmitic, stearic, and oleic acids. It is considered an ideal traditional base for compounding suppositories because its melting point is close to body temperature.
